How do you prepare for holiday meals when you have T1D? It boils down to planning in advance, giving yourself grace, and remembering that you are in charge. No one else makes your diabetes decisions.

Holiday meals don't have to be as stressful as they have in the past. We get to make decisions about what we do and how we show up, and making those decisions in advance helps us in the moment.

Wins & Fails

Colleen's Win: On our drive back from Idaho a few weeks ago, my blood sugars were really nice and stable. Sometimes, road trips mess up my numbers, so it was a nice change to see a  mostly smooth line for the 9-hour drive.

Jessie's Fail: Jessie finally got sick at school. Her voice in this episode is pretty wrecked, but otherwise she's doing okay.
