Here's an unconventional idea: use sounds to relax. Most of us need to relax a little more in this fast-paced world. Doing so can help us destress, find our center, and lead healthy, happy, productive lives.
One thing that is often overlooked with relaxation tools is sound. Various studies have shown that certain sounds can help humans relax, and many individuals have stumbled upon this for themselves.

Nature is a natural relaxant. It lowers stress levels, reduces blood pressure, and boosts mood. So it is not surprising that the sounds of nature can help you relax.
From birdsong to the sound of waves lapping at the shore, try out as many nature sounds as you can to find the ones that work for you.
You may find that certain nature sounds work better in certain situations. For example, the sound of cicadas chirping may help you sleep better while the sound of birds singing may help you destress after a tough day at work.
Tibetan singing bowls, expertly hammered in Nepal, have been used for centuries to soothe the body and mind. They are also said to have healing qualities. They work by creating a deep sound that resonates with the body on a primal level and helps one to attune with nature and their surroundings.
If you aren’t used to Eastern practices, they may seem a little strange at first. Try them though, because many people find them to be the MOST relaxing tool when they’re feeling stressed.

It might sound odd, but many people find comfort and relaxation when listening to other people whispering. Many YouTube videos of people whispering, often known as ASMR videos (although they include other sounds too) have become so popular in recent years.
ASMR videos can also produce a pleasant spine-tingling sensation, so it may be worth trying them if you are struggling to destress any other way.
Classical music is wonderful for helping the human brain to relax. You can use any music that you enjoy as a tool to remove stress from your life. Combining music with dance will often work even better because moving your body around is actually a great way to relax, better than vegging out on the couch.
It may take you a while to find the sounds that are best for helping you to relax. But it is worth taking the time to do so because having a few files on your phone that you can press play on whenever things are getting too overwhelming is obviously really beneficial to your health!
